Awesome stuff from our 'oldies' at the British Masters!
When this happens, it's usually because the owner only shared it with a small group of people, changed who can see it or it's been deleted.

Greetings!

Next wednesday @ 7pm we will be holding our Annual General Meeting,
All members are invited (and encouraged) to attend, if you are 18 and over then you are a member, if you are U18 then your parent or guardian holds the membership representing you

AGM's have a reputation for being somewhat boring, However... at this meeting I will be discussing the most monumental change for DJC since we founded...

We would really like your opinion on it and your questions, so please please make an extra effort to attend,

If you have your child with you thats fine, or they can join Gary's clas

Cordelia won her pool and was in with some very experienced ladies as she begins her campaign at seniors and also came away with a Bronze

So so proud of them (many thanks to Gary for coaching from the chair)

Also well done to Rhys who won gold in the U100's 😉

Sunday the 16th of July saw Drake Judo hold our 2nd Club closed competition of the year,

These competitions were created to be able to gently introduce some of our younger players to competition and to help train other volunteers in timekeeping, table officiating and refereeing,

We had over 60 Drake Judo members from Plymouth, Tavistock, Sherford and Par with Bristol conducting their own version last week with 25 Drake Judo members there...

A big thankyou to all the volunteers from all clubs who help to make it happen especially from our Par club and a big thankyou to Tournament Director C

Best part of having a GB full timer as part of your team??
Other full timers come and take sessions for the kids, just because!! 🥰

We were all squished up in the squash courts today thanks to the BJJ Devon Open which kept some people away but those who showed up had a real treat as they had a session with our very own Max Gregory along with Rhys Thompson and Michael Fryer!!

A lot of fun was had all round and Rhys even treated the kids to pictures with his Commonwealth Bronze Medal!!

Thanks guys…look forward to seeing you again soon!!! 😁

Such a fantastic session today and we’re so proud to be a part of it!!
Looking forward to the next one!! 🥰

This morning we welcomed Judoka to our brand new monthly Western Area South Open Mat session at Drake Judo Club in Plymouth.

These sessions are designed to give further randori practice for our Judoka who can not always travel as far as Bath University for the weekly ETDC sessions.

Today's session was a great start and despite it being a bank holiday weekend it was amazing to see so much commitment to travel down to Plymouth to take part.

So a huge thanks to judoka from clubs,
