An excellent time had by all at our annual weekend Judo camp, attended by BattleHill Judo Club and The Dungeon bjj Consett.
Huge thanks to the staff and coaches, but especially the students who were fantastic all weekend.

4 of the Battlehill team training at the regular Friday morning Kata session at the Kodokwai where they completed Nage, Goshin Jutsu and Kime no Katas.

Tonight we had the pleasure of presenting Charlotte Kendall with her Judo black belt (1st Dan).
Charlotte joined the club on 21st March 2018, and she has an impressive competition record winning Gold in over 60% of her competitions, which include multiple BJC National Champions, BJA National Medallist and National Teams Medallist.
Charlotte quickly became a regular squad member and joined us on National and International tournaments.
... and most importantly, Charlotte always brings her huge smile to each session. 😁

Battlehill Judo Club travelled to Scotland to compete in the Hibari Kan Grand Prix tournament, in Motherwell.
The event was very well attended with 387 entries competing over 5 contest areas.
Seven of Bettlehill Judoka took part, Harrison Johnson won 4 fights with a new repertoire of techniques in the Minors category to secure a worthy Gold Medal.
Luke Woodall defeated all of his opponents in the group stage, and won the quarter final match to make the final where he was defeated with the throw of the day to return with a Silver medal (and a big smile).
