1. What inspired you to get involved with judo?

When I was a child, my mum decided to take my older brother and me to a local judo club because we were constantly fighting at home. She hoped it would help channel our energy in a more positive direction.

The programme runs from 5 locations within England and will offer the opportunity for fighters to increase their weekly training volume while working towards a vocational qualification that is now recognised by UCAS. DISE is designed to support and complement a fighters club and squad training.

Was a great, hot but also quiet session tonight, focusing on ground work to get by the heat.

We ideally need the numbers to be a little higher if we are to keep the senior session running for the remainder of the summer break.

We will see how it goes for the next couple sessions. All in all well done everyone.

Start the Olympic sport of judo this September at our Surbiton Hub with our 'Girls Only' judo session.

Led by Head Coach Charlotte Potter, this weekly session will be aimed at all female players, whether they’re competitive, recreational or completely new to judo.
