However, judo is not the only extracurricular activity that can benefit kids who practice it. There are other activities that can complement judo and provide additional advantages for kids’ development. Some examples are tug of war and football.
Tug of war is a team sport that requires kids to work together and pull a rope against another team. It is a fun and challenging activity that can help kids develop their teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills. Tug of war can also

Judo is based on two main principles: maximum efficiency with minimum effort and mutual welfare and benefit. The first principle means using your opponent’s force to your advantage, instead of fighting it directly. The second principle means respecting yourself and others, and helping each other grow. Judo also teaches you how to use different techniques such as throws, pins, joint locks, and chokes to defeat your opponent in a safe and controlled way. Judo is not only a physical activity, but also a mental and moral discipline. It helps you develop your strength, agility, balance, coordinatio

Judo was created in 1882 by Kanō Jigorō, a Japanese educator and martial artist. He combined the techniques of different jujitsu schools and added his own philosophy of mutual benefit and efficiency. He also emphasized free sparring and removed dangerous strikes and weapons. Judo became popular in Japan and abroad, and was adopted by the Tokyo police as their official martial art. Judo also became an Olympic sport in 1964, and has since grown into a global phenomenon with millions of practitioners. Judo celebrates its founder’s birthday every year on October 28th as the World Judo Day.

I moved from Georgia 🇬🇪 to the UK 🇬🇧 when I was 12 years old without knowing any English or any direction of purpose. I had no hobbies, no school, all I had was PlayStation 2, I became very addicted playing PlayStation all day. My dad was concerned about me and he wanted me to snap out of it. He tried to get me into sports, but nothing worked. He took me to a football club, but I sucked at it. I couldn't kick a ball properly, football just wasn’t for me.
But then, My dad's friend told us about a judo club in Southampton. He said it was fun and challenging and that I should give it a shot. I
